In manaiakalani we were using voice command of google to answer our questions we had in the slide show below.Most of our questions are related to christmas,learning ho to pronounce something in another langue and speaking french.
It was difficult to make google understand because kept popping up with the wrong words,stopped listening or ask to repeat.
It was fun to learn another way to speak a word from another culture language.
Maybe next time I will b more patient with google.
In manaiakalani Hazel and I made a slideshow with two wevideo. One is tells a story about matariki but the tawhirimatea version and the other video shares facts about matariki.At the beginning we were thinking of making a wevideo about Tarakiuta & Tarikitai but we change our idea because we never fully decided whos doing which part.
I found it fun to find different types of tools I can use to make the story and to explore wevideo to make it interesting.
I found it challenging to find the right timing and to keep the text and the background together.Because it was hard to edit it but then you have to move it together.
Next time I will try to connect the video with my buddy.
In this week manaiakalani we made a gift about Matariki. This version of the story is when tawhirimatea(god of the wind) through his eyes to his father angry that his brothers separated his parents. Making them stars and the beginning of Matariki. I made the part when Tawhirimatea through his eyes to the sky and there tinikling bright.We used Brush ninja to make the gift and transformation.
I enjoyed drawing the objects and making different colours.
It was tricky copy the canvas then move the objects around because it was hard to make the motion right or on timing with the other objects.
Next time I could try and more movements to the objects.
In Manaiakalani we have been learning about leaving footprints on our devices, and showing the web site we use at home and at school. On my left foot are the websites I use at school, And the foot on the right are the ones I use at home.
It was simple and easy to put a picture of the website Icon I use. Because I just needed to search,copy and paste the website Icon I use and put it on to my google drawing.
It was challenging find the correct icon of the website because it will bring the wrong icon in some of the search's I done.
Next time I will try to find the correct Icon of the website.
In LH 11 we were making a screencastify video showing information about mathletics or what we did with tryathlon.FIrstly we had to log into screencastify then we had to start recording which one we did.
It was easy to talk the steps on how to log into mathletics and download it on to my drive and share with others so they can see it.
It was challenging to but it on my blog but I mange and keeping the seconds under 30 seconds or just 30 seconds.
Next time I will try to stay under 30 seconds and talk more clearly.
In LH11 we have been finishing manaiakalani mahi that we needed to finish or just started a new one.In my Gif animation I used Tall tweet,remove background and the explore tool to make my animation.
I enjoyed making the part were you open up your head and putting different images popping out off my head.Because it was easy to cut and shrink the image's.
It was challenging to move the head and moving the images.Because it was hard to copy and paste and move the objects then repeating it again.
Next time I will try to put a little more effort into my work.
In LH 11 we did manaiakalani.We were learning about private and public information to share and not share.We were also making a little about me slide and learning how to use remove image,word art, and mote which is a audio recording your voice.
I enjoyed making the background and my name out of word art because in was easy,simple, and I knew how to use them form primary school.
It was challenging to talk with a clear confident voice in front of the audio because I get shy when I'm talking about myself in front of my device then publishing it on my blog.
Next time I will try talk with a more confident voice in front of my audio when I'm publishing on the website.
In LH11 (learning hub 11.) We were doing a cyber race and see who can finish all the task's(mission).At the the end of the race everyone who joined the race got a Google race badge. But to succeed we had to follow the instruction on the slide's.
I enjoyed and found easy to writing 3 different thing about me on mission 2 because I had a couple of ideas to share about me. But it was tricky to explain myself in one word.
It was challenging to do mission 4 because I didn't understand the instruction correctly.
Next time I will listen to the audio proply to understand what i'm doing.

In Mrs.Barkers writing ropu we were doing recount writings about something we did in the past. step1 we had to make a plan on what our writing was going to be about. Mine was about my family and I going to the beach for the day. Step 2 we had to open our device and and write in a google doc.
I enjoyed visualizing and imaging the day we went to the beach. Because it was fun to remember the day well writing the story.
It was challenging to think of some really great words to explain some parts of the recount writing.
Next time I will make my writing more interesting to read.
In our writing groups we had to pretend to be four different animals in the Australia.Because us people are taking away there home and we needed to write down on how the animals feel.At the end of the writing we put all the animals together.
It was easy to think on how to write and explain how the animals feel because the teacher showed an example.
It was challenging to choose the right animals to make it rhyme.
Next time I will make I more creative.
Today we made a twelve day of kiwi christmas of our own. Firstly we hoped into groups then we worked and agree on what our 12 kiwi christmas lyrics are and what order there going to be.
It was easy and simple to copy and paste the words because some one in our group did most of the work and we only had to write on the next slideshow.
It was challenging to choose the colour of the words to match the background and find some little mistakes on our slide show.
next time I will try and find the mistakes and help my team a bit more.
We were making a letter for the Gisborne Herald writing what Christmas means to me.Once we were finish we had to make a slideshow animation explaining our Christmas letter to the Gisborne Herald.
I found it fun and easy to copy and edit my slide's because I only had to move my people a little more into the slide.
It was challenging to to make my own people because the shape would come out wrong sometimes when I use polyline or curve.
Next time I will make my animation a little more creative.
We have been learning what the name of the colours are in maori for Te reo time. Then we had to make a slide show showing different objects of the same colour on slide for an example.
I enjoyed and found it easy to write down the colours in english and maori on each slide show and use curve to make the splat of paint for a background.
It was challenging to think of some different objects for pango/black waiporoporo/purple kikorangi/blue and parauri/brown.
Next time I will be more creative when creating and add more objects to the slide.
For last week Manaiakalani we were making another postcard showing where we were and what we were doing.
I enjoyed and find it easy to find a background of a beach and writing what I was doing because I was explaining what we were doing most of the afternoon and what is happening in the photo.
It was challenging to match the smoke to the bonfire flames and making the bonfire match the background and the shades of the background colour.
Next time I will find away to make the smoke and bonfire match the photo.
In week 3 Manaiakalani we were learning about engineering scam/phishing and what is fake and what is real to be cyber smart safe and to NOT share your password gmail or account with someone you don't know or something pops up on you device. We made a postcard on our slide showing an example.
It was easy to think of what photo I was adding to the slide because I knew what we did this term.
I found it challenging to think of what to right down on my post card because I couldn't think of some words to explain my photo.
Next time I will try not to fluff around to long on editing my photo.
